Flash is only required for our legacy live proctoring service and is not required for our Live+, Review+ or Record+ services. The system you're using is dependent upon the institution or organization you're testing through. While the majority of our institutions and organizations have migrated to our Live+ service (which does not require Flash), there are still several running through the legacy system. If you are unsure which service your test will be administered through, please contact your institution.
If you need to install or enable Flash to take your exam, follow the steps below for Chrome and Firefox.
How to Enable Flash in Chrome
Flash is built in to Chrome, but is turned off by default. You can enable it by following the steps below:
- Navigate to go.proctoru.com and click on the Lock Icon
in the browser address bar. - Select Site Settings
- Scroll down to where you see Flash and select Allow.

If you do not see Flash as an option in your site settings, type chrome://components/ into your address bar and check for an Adobe Flash update.

How to Add or Enable Flash in Firefox
To Enable Flash:
- Type about:addons in your address bar.
- If you see Flash on the page, make sure it is set to Ask to Activate on the dropdown menu on the right.
To Install Flash:
- Type about:addons in your address bar.
- If Adobe Flash is not showing, navigate to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
- Uncheck Optional Offers
- Click Install Now
- Download & install Adobe Flash
- Once installation complete, close Firefox completely, reopen and try our equipment check.
